Integrations
Timepiece - Time in Status for Jira exposes its data through a REST API, making it possible to integrate Jira workflow analytics and historical issue data with external reporting platforms, spreadsheet tools, and business intelligence systems.
Using these integrations, teams can build custom dashboards, automate reporting workflows, analyze metrics, and combine Timepiece data with other operational datasets.
This section provides step-by-step integration guides for commonly used platforms and tools.
Microsoft Power BI
You can pull Timepiece report data directly into Power BI using a custom M query in the Power BI Desktop App. The integration uses the Timepiece REST API to fetch issue data in pages and load it into a Power BI table, which you can then use for dashboards, charts, and further analysis.
See PowerBI Integration with Custom Query for the full setup guide.
Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel
If you prefer working in a spreadsheet, Timepiece provides ready-to-use sample files for both Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel. These files have built-in scripts that connect to the Timepiece REST API and populate the spreadsheet with report data at the click of a button. They are designed as starting templates, you can extend them with pivot tables, charts, and custom calculations.
See Sample Spreadsheet Integration Files for the sample files and setup instructions.
eazyBI
Timepiece can be integrated with eazyBI using eazyBI’s REST API data source functionality. This integration allows Timepiece report data to be imported into eazyBI as dimensions and measures for advanced Jira analytics and multidimensional reporting.
See eazyBI Integration for the configuration guide, including authentication setup, pagination settings, and a ready-to-import data source definition.
All integrations described in this section rely on the Timepiece REST API.
Before configuring an integration, you will need to create a Timepiece API token from the API Settings page in Jira Administration.
