Group & Sort

Group & Sort

The Group & Sort option defines how changes are displayed in the report.

  • Group logs by work item

    • Enabled: Each work item appears at the first level, and its changes are nested underneath. This creates an issue-focused view, making it easier to review the full history of a single issue in one place.

    • Disabled: All changes from all work items are displayed together as a single, flat list sorted by date. This creates a time-focused view, useful when you want to see a global timeline of changes across multiple issues.

  • Sort work items by…

  • When grouping is enabled, you can sort work items by selected fields such as Status, Assignee, or Actual End. These fields are applied on top of your JQL filter to control the order of issues in the report.

  • Then sort history entries by…

  • Regardless of grouping, individual history entries are always sorted by Changed At (date). You can set ascending or descending order.
