How to get total status durations for Epics ?

Business Need

Let's presume ...

Each of your Jira issues represents a user story and they are bound to Epics.

You want to get a report showing the sum of status durations of all issues that are bound to an Epic.

STATUS DURATION report of Timepiece with the Sum option can be utilized for this purpose.

You should...

Open Timepiece reporting page.
Select the project in which the issues reside (or set any other filter to get the issues to report on).
Switch to STATUS DURATION report.
Click the List button
- Select Sum option
- Add Epic Link field to the list.
- Click Apply.
Select your business calendar if you defined one.
Select the appropriate start and end dates.

The Epic Link field shows the issue key of the Epic that each issue is bound to.

The report will show the total time spent on each status for the issues bound to each epic.
