Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
I see users named Former User in my report. Who are they?
- If your issue histories or issue fields contain username's that are no longer in the system (they might have been deleted or they might have been imported into the system so might never have existed), those users will appear as Former User in your Timepiece reports. Jira Cloud API does not provide accurate names for those users, just "Former User" so we display them as we get them.
Which URLs (or IPs) does Timepiece need to access for its operation? Which URL's (or IPs) must be whitelisted?
- For details about required internet access, please see Internet Access
I am planning a Jira migration between OnPrem (Server or Data Center) and Cloud. Is there anything I need to do for Timepiece migration?
- Timepiece produces all its reports based on issue histories. Issue history data is migrated as part of your Jira migration. You don't need to do anything extra about it.
- Timepiece specific data (permissions, calendar definitions, format settings, saved param sets, etc.) currently do not have a migration path. You will need to set the same settings on the target system manually.
- This information applies to both OnPrem-to-Cloud migrations and Cloud-to-OnPrem migrations.
I am planning to change the URL of my Jira site. Will Timepiece be compatible with this change?
- Yes, Timepiece is compatible with site-rename. Please see Renaming your Jira Cloud Site page for details.
Can I display Timepiece Cloud gadget on a Confluence Cloud page?
- Currently no, because Confluence Cloud does not support Jira Cloud app gadgets yet. There is a request made to Atlassian about this. We encourage you to watch and vote for that issue
